I have been working with computers for the past forty years. It has just now hit me how the computers that we use every day mimic the way that our brains work.
I was sitting down doing some work on my PC when a notice pops up that there is an urgent update that needs to be installed on my computer. These updates make my computer to run better as well as to keep viruses and various and sundry garbage out of my computer. I can choose not to install these updates on my PC, but I have to be willing to pay the consequences. If I choose to not install the updates, when something makes my machine crash, I have no one to blame but myself.
In the same manner, we need to be concerned about the necessary updates to our minds. Our minds need to refreshed and updated to run at their optimum levels. However, we do not necessarily have a Microsoft out there telling us which updates to install. Therefore, we always need to be on the look out for updates, from trusted sources, that we can use.
Right now, I am in the middle of a complete refurbishment. I am in the process of eliminating dead computer code in my mind, also known as (aka) bad habits. I am working to bring in clean, uncontaminated code that has been optimized for my use, aka good habits.
Likewise, I am updating my minds drivers, so that I can better process all of the data that I am exposed to every day. This will be installing “Junk” filters that will divert all of the garbage that I am exposed to every day.
I am also working at increasing the bandwidth that I use to communicate with the universe so that I can better make my desires known, and can likewise institute into my life what I need to do to bring my desires to fruition.
Most computer updates can be done in minutes. However, major upgrades can take significantly longer. I am currently in for a twenty six week update. I cant wait to see the final product. I have already made the work order and specified the Definite Major Purpose that I am expecting. I have every confidence that the workmen will perform even better than my expectations.
Time for a reboot….. Alt/Ctrl/Del
